I hear what she is saying but אם כן אין לדבר סוף. There are so many other people that might have someone angry enough at them that would want to do them harm. It’s not only federal judges.
Agreed, I am of course in favor of judges being safe and not having to worry that their personal info is falling into the hands of lunatics.
But I dont believe any other human should be denied that same security. The fact is, that we see all sorts of media whether social media or mainstream media publishing peoples private info. Their address, workplace ect.
Perhaps the first step is to make it illegal for that information to be shared ‘non-voluntarily’, by anyone other that person themselves.
Websites that obtain that info is a larger issue because ostensibly the user signs over some sort of ‘right’.
But I am referring to a Media report, or social post, about such information by any unsolicited party, that should be made illegal.
This would not have helped the judge in this case, but it is a first step.
