rick-santorumFox News just reported that Rick Santorum will announce that he is suspending his presidential campaign. His announcement is taking place in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

That would leave Mitt Romney as the clear frontrunner, with Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul trailing far behind in the Republican presidential race.

  3. The establishment has won! It’s all over! Obama will win in a landslide! This lefty, Romney, will pull a John McCain and throw the election! This is truly a bleak day in America! I will have to sit this election out!

  4. Wow, everyone suddenly are prophets!!. They know exactly what the future will bring. Why didnt you guys play the mega millions?

  5. Well, there goes an individual with some sense of family, decency etc. Hope all the Yiddelach understand that voting for Obama means throwing ALL of us under a bus.

  6. I too was hoping that Santorum would win.
But now we must do everything possible to help Romney win. The main thing is to defeat Obama.

  7. Can one of you Santorum supporters out there please explain why “Romney is at least as bad or worse” than Obama?
Cohen (#7, #10), you never back any of your statements up. You just make them and expect everyone else to to accept your (unproved) wisdom.
I happen to have been a Romney supporter for over a year now and it has nothing to do with the media. It has to do with my analysis of each candidate’s positions and experience.
A lot of Matzav readers, on the other hand, say “Hmmm, Santorum’s frum, I like him” or “Gingrich seems really good for Israel, I’ll vote for him” without the depth or breadth of knowledge about the candidate himself or his positions to really understand their choice or its impact on America and the world.
It’s funny, people have disagreed with me before, but no one except for you has ever accused me of being “bought in by” [sic] the media.
If anyone is totally influenced by the media (albeit a specific slice of it), it’s the average frum yid.

  8. #4, your comment reveals your emotional bias. You obviously see Obama winning as a terrible event. You think Romney unfortunately will lose the election. So therefore you yourself will not vote. Is that a rational approach? Will not voting against Obama help the country in your eyes?
