Democratic 2020 hopeful Kamala Harris wants the House to impeach President Donald Trump, but doesn’t necessarily expect it to be a successful effort.
Harris joined fellow Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren in calling for Trump’s impeachment following the release of a redacted version of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on the 2016 election. Impeachment has been a sensitive topic for Democrats, who have largely opted to say they would look into the president’s actions rather than directly call for impeachment.
“I believe Congress should take the steps towards impeachment. But I want to say this, because it doesn’t end there,” the California senator said on a CNN-hosted town hall Monday. “I’m also a realist. … I have also witnessed folks in the United States Congress, and in particular in the GOP, who have been presented with many reasons to push back against this president and they have not.”

Socialist Democrat Bernie Sanders wants everyone in the US to have the right to vote, even if those people are actively seeking to undo our nation.
“So, I believe people who commit crimes, they pay the price and they get out of jail, they certainly should have the right to vote,” Sanders said. “But, I believe even if they are in jail, they’re paying the price to society, but that should not take away their inherent American right to participate in our democracy.”
Sanders even thinks this should extend to criminals such as Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who along with his brother were responsible for the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.
“Yes, even for terrible people, because once you start chipping away and you say, ‘Well, that guy committed a terrible crime, not going to let him vote. Well, that person did that. Not going to let that person vote,’ you’re running down a slippery slope,” the Vermont senator has said.
These are people who actively seek to undermine the fabric of American society, how much damage could they due if allowed to vote?
These aren’t dismissible amounts of votes either. Sanders plan could potentially enable between 137,000 and 183,000 convicted murderers to vote, 14,250 to 19,000 citizens convicted of manslaughter, 154,000 convicted assailants, and 123,000 to 164,000 convicted rapists.
How many more glaringly destructive policies can these socialist loving Democrats propose before the madness ends?
What is Ms. Harris’s legal reasoning for impeaching the current sitting President, Donald Trump? This is not a game of color war. We are talking about serious legalities. Ms. Harris professes to be intelligent. What is her basis to impeach? Let her lay out the evidence.
