  1. Corona Deniers. Do you want to know why I believe that there is corona even though I can’t explain what it is? It is because I am proud to be צאן אשר יש להם רועה. I accept what the shepherd of our nation, the Gedolei Hador, have said. Rav Chaim Kanievsky, Rav Berel Povarsky, Rav Gershom Eidelstein, and Rav Shmuel Kaminetzky have all said that corona exists. And ybcl”c the Noviminsker Rebbe Zatzal also said so in a video address shortly before his petira. The question is why you corona deniers refuse to humble yourselves before the Gedolei Yisroel when it comes to health issues with which you don’t agree. Why do you call those who trust the Gedolim sheeples in a derogatory way? Why do you refuse to address the fact that your belief that corona was all a hoax is diametrically opposed to the psakim of the Gedolim. What makes you think that you are the smarter ones and the Gedolim are chas v’shalom the ones who have fallen for a political hoax. Did you ever discuss your opinion that corona is a hoax with any of the Gedolei Yisroel? עד מתי מאנתם לענות מפני? Rise to the challenge and have emunas chachamim even it sometimes involves having to do what you don’t want to do. G-D fearing Jews listen to the Gedolim.

    • Why is it that you only accept what they say with regards to corona but you don’t accept what they say in regards to smart-phone and internet?

      • As far as you are concerned, you (1) hang out in the Internet writing stupid comments, (2) you deny there is corona virus epidemics despite clear evidence because you’re smart in your own eyes, (3) you are a proud owner of the latest dumb-phone, and (4) the rabbis listed in the above post and their positions re. anything under the sun nothing to you.

    • Many people go with the shita of other Gedolei Hador who see coronavirus as a hoax and even had their shul and yeshivos open throughout the entire ordeal and never closed it.

  2. Prof. Yoram Lass, the former director general of the Ministry of Health in ISRAEL, continues to press for calming panic over coronavirus.

Prof. Yoram Lass, the former director general of the Ministry of Health in ISRAEL, continues to press for calming panic over coronavirus.

“There was no first wave – a lie. In March, April and May, 115 less people died in the State of Israel compared to the same period last year. There was no first wave, it is in the hysterical mind of you know who. In Europe and America there was a very respectable first wave, and no second wave,” Lass said in an interview in Israel on 103fm.

“No government in the world can stop the virus. This is shown by the fact that the only place in the world where there is no virus is Antarctica. The entire world is full of the virus.

He added: “The entire state of Israel is full of the virus, no one will stop it. 5 to 10 percent of the population has been infected, it has no significance, it’s like the contagious winter viruses.

“Despite the vaccine’s existence, one million Israelis are actually infected with the flu, 1,000 die of flu complications. In the winter, there’s a huge wave of mortality that doesn’t interest you.”

Lass called to “meticulously follow the law,” but also “think.”

“Don’t let them brainwash you. Interests stand behind this, as well as foolishness and hysteria. There is a mental illness called anxiety. Believe me, it is an illness from which it is hard to recover, and one who fears does not see the data. There was no first wave in Israel. There is no second wave.

“As you do more tests, you find more people – who are healthy – testing positive. And the government insists on calling them sick.

“This issue of coronavirus, which is unprecedented in the modern era, will be studied in social science faculties. There was a social phenomenon here because of the virus of social networks, which really brainwashed the entire world.”

The number of people diagnosed with the virus yesterday was Wednesday, 925, with some counts giving over 1,000. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will convene the Corona Cabinet tomorrow afternoon. The Knesset gave final approval for the resumption of Shin Bet tracking and decided to impose a partial lockdown on Ashdod and Lod neighborhoods.

    • If he thinks it’s all baloney why would he even call it a “virus”? Among our group of friends in shul and elsewhere, as well as family members, corona is not even mentioned. (Our shul and yeshiva never closed.) Nobody has corona and nobody has “the virus”. If someone is sick with fever, headache or whatever, it’s no different than whatever it was throughout history: Off the counter medication, get into bed, rest it out and that’s it. Nobody takes a silly test and put others into ghettos if they’re tested positive.

Positive testing is another lie. In the US and Israel (maybe elsewhere too) many were informed they were positive when they hadn’t even gone to their appointment. The policy is: Guilty until proven innocent, Positive until proven negative.

      • Hagaonim Harav Chaim Kanievsky and Rosh Yeshivah Harav Gershon Edelstein published a letter on Tuesday morning calling on the public to be mapkid on health regulations and to be mechazeik in kedushas beis ha’knesses in light of the rise of coronavirus cases in Israel.

“When due to our many sins, Shamayim has increased the severity of the coronavirus pandemic, we surely must arouse ourselves and be mechazeik ourselves,” the Gedolim wrote. “Each person knows in their heart what to work on and specifically, everyone should guard the kedushas batei knesseios and batei medrashios.”

“We also have to remember that at a time like this, the binding mitzvah upon us is guarding our health,” the Gedolim wrote. “‘Chamira sakanta mei’isura’ [one must be more machmir to avoid danger to life than violating issurim] and chalilah to become lax in this.”

    • On what basis you believe Yoram Lass but won’t believe the former director general of Israel’s Ministry of Health, Moshe Bar-Siman-Tov, and the current one, Hezi Levy, as well as Rabbi Yaakov Litzman, former Minister of Healthy of Israel? And what are you professional credentials to qualify one and disqualify others?

  3. I spoke with gedolim regarding my specific need for internet. I only got internet less than one year ago when it became necessary in my specific situation. I DO NOT OWN A SMARTPHONE. IT IS HIGHLY DIFFICULT BUT I LISTENED TO MY GEDOLIM WHO SAID THAT SPECIFIC SITUATION DOES NOT MAKE IT NECESSARY. I did not take issue with the fact that some gedolim paskened that in their specific communities shuls could safely stay open I never said to panic. I never paniced and no Gadol said to panic. However, to my knowledge NO GADOL EVER SAID CORONA NEVER EXISTED. They only disagreed on the practical application of the halacha. You have not answered my question of how you know better than the Gedolim regarding your claim that corona NEVER EXISTED. Will you ever answer that?
