The diaries of Rav Yehuda Meir Getz, who served as Rav Hakosel for 27 years until 1995 have been published on a website devoted to his memory (www.beitharavgets.co.il).
The site also includes photos, videos and personal information.
Born in Tunisia in 1924, Rav Getz came to Eretz Yisroel in 1949 and was appointed as Rav Hakosel in 1969. During his tenure there, he wrote 12 diaries discussing events in Eretz Yisroel and particularly at the Kosel. The last entry was written two days before his death.
