The stones of the Kosel were inspected for stability yesterday as part of a biannual inspection done prior to Pesach and Rosh Hashanah. The inspection includes the stones and the Wilson’s Arch covered area, among other areas.
The stones were cleaned and loose particles and other debris removed, according to the Western Wall Heritage Foundation.
Next week, the foundation will clean out the notes stuck into the Kosel as part two of its twice a year cleanup.
