Kupath Ezrah is the first and foremost welfare Tzedaka institute serving the greater Monsey community for close to 60 years. It is endorsed by Rabbonim all across Monsey as the Kupah of the city.  Close to 700 families from all segments of the community are currently receiving monthly financial aid to help alleviate their pain and suffering of poverty. This Tzedaka is a multi- faceted assistance organization. Besides for monthly stipends and pre-Yom Tov allocations, Kupath Ezrah has a Job Network Program to assist people to find jobs. The Kupah helps with utility shutoffs, foreclosures, evictions, and much, much more. This is all done in a very honorable and discreet manner in order to uphold the dignity of each recipient.

The 20th Kupath Ezrah Annual Asifa, the key yearly fundraiser, will be held at The Atrium, 401 W. Route 59 Monsey, on August 7, 2016 at 7 P.M.  The event will begin with a parve banquet followed by the keynote speaker Rabbi Yissocher Frand Shlit”a, Magid Shiur at Yeshiva Ner Yisroel in Baltimore.

At the event, HaRav Yitzchok Lichtenstein Shlit”a, Mora D’asra of Kehilas Bais Avrohom in Forshay, Monsey, will share memories of his father.  Rabbi Lichtenstein will also introduce a new Tzedaka Initiative where shuls will partner with Kupath Ezrah to help more families in their neighborhood in a greater way with increased monthly financial aid.

The commemorative ArtScroll Edition of Midrash Shir Hashirim, Volume 2, is being sponsored in memory of HaRav Aharon Ben HaRav Yechiel Lichtenstein זצ״ל, the father of HaRav Yitzchok Lichtenstein שליט״א He was a source of inspiration for a wide circle of Jewry, for both his educational attainments and his intellectual and spiritual leadership.   He truly personified the words of the Navi and the fulfillment of “ahavas chesed vehatzne’ah leches im elokecha.” He opened his heart and home and gave generously to all the needy that frequently came to his door. May his memory be blessed. You can have your name inserted in this commemorative sefer, which will be presented to the guests at the Asifa.  To include an inscription click here or call (845)426-6504.
