chemedLakewood – Chemed invites the Lakewood community to a parenting workshop in dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Learn how to use the Hurricane Experience to teach resilience to your children and how to turn this event into a growing experience.

Learn how to teach your fearful and anxious child about fear, and effective interventions to help them.

Their will be a question and answer forum as well.

The workshop will be presented by Benyamin Halpern, LSW, CASAC-T, an Anxiety and Fear Specialist.  Chemed’s behavioral health therapist will be available on-site for individual consultation.

Women: 10:30 AM- 12:00 PM
Men: 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM

At Chemed Health Center- 1771 Madison Ave.

Admission is free.

Light refreshments will be served.

  1. Come on, just be normal parents and help others and your kids will feel secure. The more we make an issue over it, that brings fear to the children. I agree we can’t act like nothing happened, but to constantly be talking to them about it will keep it in their heads longer.

  2. May you never know the pain of having a child with anxiety. Any advice and direction is greatly needed and appreciated. Where else are we supposed to get the information from.
