Lakewood, NJ – Outrage continues to mount across the Lakewood community following the arrest and incarceration of R’ Binyomin Kubani, a respected ben Torah and father of eight, who was jailed after a routine trip to a local car wash spiraled into a baseless and deeply troubling accusation.

In response to what many are calling a modern-day alilas dam, two major events are scheduled for today, July 6, to rally support for R’ Binyomin and call for justice.

At 1:15 PM, an Atzeres Tefillah will take place at Bais Medrash Govoha’s Bais Yitzchok, as yungeleit and bochurim gather in heartfelt tefillah on behalf of their fellow yeshivaman.

Following that, at 2:00 PM, a mass protest and tefillah rally will be held outside the Lakewood Police Department headquarters, located at 231 3rd Street. Thousands are expected to participate in this show of solidarity, demanding answers and accountability from local authorities.

  1. Where are our elected & overeelected & over endourced Councilmen on this?
    AWOL.
Have we heard one utter from them?
I understand somewhat in E”Y, eventhough they don’t get the draft law, which should be all they want, but the hand-outs blind them.
Here the hand-outs are for preciuos few at the expense of all the others. you would expect intervention in a case like this.
Instead of protests at the police station, make them at the councilmen’s residence. (possiblt they are all in the country now). make robo calls never to vote them in again, start recalls, & get people who will work on behalf of all of us not just the comnnected at our expense.

    • kindly get your head examined and your senses back.do you really think that our devoted askanim don’t care about this? do you need them to make a peep to you, or to the appropriate authorities? were you at the tefillah today, making a peep at Hashem, asking Him to help??

  2. Individuals who are alleged to have committed a non-violent crime should be fitted with a tracking device not incarcerated! We should lobby our government officials to implement this immediately. Incarceration sans due process is unconstitutional!

  3. several thoughts:

Is it possible that the illegal alien MISUNDERSTOOD what was requested ?
especially if it didn’t speak English !
The physical mess never should have been allowed to happen !
He should have gone to a normal car=wash business, instead of trying
    to cut corners.

I am shocked that your frum news report could say merely “solicited”,
and be sure that all your frum readers would know exactly …

  4. in certain other cities, they would begin torching police cars & burning down the precinct if their man was not released immediately.

Incredible how lucky the local Lakewood police are that they live in the safest city in NJ.

  5. Where are the elected officials? Forget politics and do the right thing. We didn’t elect them to play politics. We elected them to act in our interests. Shame on them.
