Lakewood: Pre-Pesach Trash Disposal Info

lakewood-recycling-garbageLakewood, NJ – In preparation for Pesach, as in past years, Lakewood Township will be providing trash and recycling drop-off locations for the convenience of the frum community.

This year’s locations will be manned around the clock from this Motzoei Shabbos until Monday, Erev Yom Tov.

The locations that will be manned are as follows:

• Forest Avenue, between 9th and 10th Streets.

• The former Public Works Complex on East 9th Street.

• The Villas clubhouse on Twin Oak Drive.

• Hillside Blvd. and Ropshitz, in West Gate, across from the shopping plaza.

• Sterling Forest, on Hadassah Lane, in the rear parking area.

• Pine River, at the Sequoia Street parking lot.

• Sunset Road, at the playground.

The John J. Franklin Public Works Complex will be open for all collections 7 a.m.-11 a.m. and 12 p.m.-3 p.m. Bulk items should be brought to this location. The Complex is located at 1 America Avenue, with entrances on New Hampshire and Cedar Bridge Avenues. For additional information, call 732.905.3405.

Please note that the following items will not be accepted at any drop-off sites: tires, car batteries, paints or chemicals, construction debris, leaves, and propane tanks.

To ensure that drop-off locations are not overloaded, please adhere to the following:

– Residents of Central Avenue, New Central Avenue, Miller Road and Hope Road should use the Sunset Road site or the West Gate site.

– Residents of The Gardens (Agway), Brook Hill Estates, Village Park and East End Avenue should use The Villas site.

– Residents of Forest Park, Spruce Street, Marc Drive, Pine Street, Pine River Estates, Arlington Estates and Martin Luther King Drive should use the Pine River site.

– Residents of High Street, Presidential Estates, Chateau Park, Elmwood Village, the Chestnut area and Spruce Street should use the Sterling Forest site.

– Residents of Whispering Pines, the downtown area, Park Avenue and the Kennedy Blvd. area should use the former Public Works Complex site on East 9th Street.
