  1. FINAL ELECTION RESULTS
    Senior communities BS 924/HH 171 16%/84 (districts 3,18,19,20,22,23,24,28,30,31,32,33,34,38)

    All other districts BS 2304/HH 2508 52%/48%

So Herschel won the Heimishe Vote afterall, especially the heavy yiddish voting districts.

  2. In the Heimishe circles it would seem as if Hershkowitz won as opposed to the elderly vote where it would seem that Singer took the vote. Go Figure!

  3. Go figure? The senior housing TER taxes went down at the expense of almost everyone else…..substantially. That is what BS promotes as no increase in taxes.

Don’t even dream that those who supported Singer will take this as a lesson of the kehilla’s discontent. They will continue to ignore the community.

I guess some people will just start to direct their campaign effort at the senior communities where they may still have some prominence.

  4. The heimisha people have spoken very clearly & loudly.
In the future, Matzav should keep it’s nose out of politics & not endorse any of the candidates.

  5. why cant us boro parkers get the same breakdown in the joe lazar david greenfield race, voting place by voting place?

  6. Herschel deserves to be congratulated for all his efforts. He ran an issue oriented campaign highliting corruption, as well as excessive spending habits.Herschel though not officially endorsed by any single Lakewood entity clearly received the widespread support of the general heimishe population. Due to the emphasis his campaign put on lowering taxes Lakewood subsequently saw there first no dollar increase budget in a long time (though most people’s taxes are increasing except for the seniors). Most of the issues he bought up were slowly incorporated into his opponents campaign and we are now waiting to see Mr. Singer stick to the ideas that he has promised to implement.
