Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, implicitly warned Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to stay out of the former president’s way if he’s thinking about launching his own run for the White House, Mediaite reports.
Lara spoke with Sky News host Erin Molan about her father’s upcoming Tuesday announcement, during which he’s expected to make it official that he’s running for president again in 2024. Lara predicted the announcement would be “a very historic event,” Molan asked her who would win if DeSantis were to face Trump in a two-horse race in the Republican primary.
Lara answered by implicitly telling DeSantis: Don’t get any ideas, at least, not until 2028.
I think that Ron DeSantis is very smart. Look, he’s a young guy. There will be a lot of opportunity for him in the future, and he knows this, to run for president. And so, I think he’s probably waiting to see what my father-in-law does, and I think he’s a smart enough guy to know that it will be great to have all this support of this party — of the America First, MAGA movement, whatever you want to call it — fully behind him in 2028, than possibly fracturing it in 2024. I can tell you, those primaries get very messy and very raw. We’ve experienced that before. So wouldn’t it be nicer for him, and I think he knows this, to wait ’til 2028.
Even though the Republican party’s disappointing midterm election results have raised questions about Trump’s future and the status of his run, the former president is reportedly planning to go ahead with announcing a new presidential campaign. While some Republicans are suggesting that DeSantis should replace Trump as head of the GOP, the ex-president has opened fire on the Florida governor while absolving himself of responsibility for the GOP’s midterm struggles.
She sounds like she is a jerk like her father in law but in fairness what do you want her to say? “We welcome him into the race, may the best man win?” Does anyone talk that way about the idea of Trump himself entering the race? Is such talk still common anywhere in American politics these days?
Actually, she sounds quite reasonable.
President Trump is, of course, not to blame for whatever went on in this election, including the media pulling out the stops for the Democrats. He could possibly save the country, if the presidency is not underhandedly denied him as happened in the most recent election.
Why doesn’t the former leave as a hero. He cannot possibly win. The majority of the country does not like him. He shoots his mouth off incessantly and says the jerkiest, most ridiculous things. He was a great president but his time has passed. Is he such a dope to think he has a chance: that in of itself should disqualify him as an old senile dope. Donald Joseph, we loved you but now we’re looking beyond you.
Don’t listen to the misleading headlines. Name even 2 “jerky” things he has said.
Why a dope to think he has no chance, according to every poll and survey of Conservative voters he is the #1 GOP candidate. And by quite a large margin to #2.
She actually sounds fairly poised, articulate, and sophisticated. Not nearly as combative or aggressive as Donald. Nobody makes as reprehensible a public statement as he does.
This lady is not that bright. A totally biased individual. If her husband throws her under the bus like he did to his last wife, boy, she’ll change her opinion on the spot.
Did he also throw you under the bus that you’re so angry at him? Actually Trump is right. Desantis would be stupid to run for president now. He should way for Trump to Make America Great Again with the economy and everything else and then Desantis would be able to take over and keep it running properly.

He even continued his achievements after officially leaving office with the Draining of the Swamp, the invisible enemy, cleansing the planet, destroying DUMBs and tunnels globally, and rescuing millions of children. Has so-called-president Biden accomplished any of this? Do you think DeSantis or anyone else can accomplish any of this? Think logically, use your brains for a change instead of waiting to be spoonfed with lies and deception by the fake media, the true enemy of the people.
The media and politicians act like the Germans who brainwashed and misled the naive yidden, telling them they’ll be resettled, with the askonim and machers – who sold their neshomos to the Satan – helping their bluff and unfortunately were very successful with fooling the people. Does DeSantis think he has a chance to win in the new elections using blockchain voting machines with voter ID when most of the country will vote for Trump? I think it’ll make him very depressed when he’ll end up with less than 10% of the votes. Be smart, DeSantis. Opt out. It’ll hurt your ego immensely.
