Howard Greenberg told New York magazine that Levi Aron’s horrific killing of the 8-year-old Borough Park boy last summer came during an “acute schizophrenic break.”

“You can quote me on this,” Greenberg said. “I will quit the practice of criminal law if Levi Aron is not found insane.”

  1. “You can quote me on this,” Greenberg said. “I will quit the practice of criminal law if Levi Aron is not found insane.”

Whats new?Another lawyer lying for his client? You saw it here first:He will NOT stop practicing criminal law if Aron is not found insane.

  2. Insane or not, this animal needs to be removed from the streets forever. If Greenberg quits, no one will shed a tear. One less lawyer in the world – is that supposed to scare us?

  3. We are all upset from about the situation but don’t forget who you are attacking. There is no doubt that he should be locked in for life. Do you believe a normal person can commit this kind of crime??? The point is how can we protect our self and make sure that he is locked in. we need to change some laws and make sure that even if the person prove to be insane he should stay locked in after committing crime like it. It is ridicules that many psychopath claim insanity and goes back to the street. What more upsetting is that we have to deal with many who can flip out any minute and commit crimes. Our community most of the time wants to deny and help cover up mental sickness. Some do it for shidochim and so on… Our mental system in New York is falling down. There are not enough recourse to help people who are disturbed and their families. Due to the hard economy all mental health professional are poorly paid and have to see the client’s less often. There is more order to document-work and less intervention time. The police officers hands are also tight-up. They can’t lock people up until they commit a crime and the issue go’s in circle. We should all unite and open our eyes to prevent sick people do awful things. My heart go’s for the parents of the young boy and I wish we as a Jewish community should never experience hopeless feelings in keeping our children safe.

  4. #9, you are motzi shem ra on an entire tzibbor. In order to obtain kappara you must ask at least each and every Jewish lawyer for mechila and obtain it.

  5. There’s no such thing as a schyzophrenic break. A person who suffers from schyzophrenia, can have an acute psychotic episode.

  6. People say “prison for life.” I’m sorry, I don’t want to pay for this guy out of my tax dollars. I think he should be executed.

  7. to #16-You are right no one should pay for him. Life and death should be in g-d hands
. Sometime those people prefer to die but I think they should live in bad conditions and work for their surviving.
