A writer for CBS’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Sunday apologized for her “sarcasm” in a deleted tweet about newly confirmed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Ariel Dumas on Saturday tweeted, “Whatever happens, I’m just glad we ruined Brett Kavanaugh’s life.” The post quickly went viral, as multiple conservative pundits retweeted it with critical commentary.

Dumas the next day said the tweet was a “tone-deaf attempt at sarcasm.”

“The last couple of weeks have been hard for the country and for me personally,” she wrote. “The complexity of frustration, anger and sadness can’t be accurately conveyed on twitter, and I regret my tone-deaf attempt at sarcasm in the wake of it.”

  1. An honest person’s life cannot be ruined by a mad sick person who tries to accuse someone of something he never committed. If anyone’s life would be ruined it would be that of Christine Blasey Ford a sick woman, as well as that of Ariel Dumas, another sick woman, as well as Feinstein’s.

  2. Not only has Kavanaugh’s life not be ruined by the Democrat’s plot, but this new witch hunt got President Trump to win again in a landslide.

  3. She apologizes but doesn’t get fired whereas had it been the reverse scene, for sure the Dems would certainly be hollering for the removal of the writer! In fact it’s happened not long ago! Here, nuthin!
