A “New Likudniks” branch of Likud may be creating a fifth column and attempting to topple the party from within, Yisrael Hayom reported.
A petition against the New Likudniks submitted to Likud’s internal court cites four hundred incriminating quotes and screenshots from the branch’s Facebook group. One note says, for example, “I like the Trojan horse idea.” Another says, “If it were possible to join Shas, I’d have brought them down from within years ago.
Months ago, Likud discovered that the New Likudniks include 1,300 Meretz members and 5,750 Labor party adherents.
New Likudniks denied the allegations.
