  1. Excellent excellent drasha. The Telzer Rosh Yeshiva hit the nail on the head. As far as closing any streets because of Lag Baomer activities, my Rav here in Flatbush has been saying the same thing for years. Why did you stop the recording right at the point where the Rosh Yeshiva was about to say a story with the Chofetz Chaim? I would love to hear the story.

  2. The way to remedy the goyim’s jealousy is of course not to flaunt what we have, always act courteously and politely to them, help them, maintain no less than 100% honesty and other mitzvos bein adam l’chaveiro. Yes, we are guests and until we all pick ourselves up and go home to Eretz Yisrael we’d better remember that. It’s okay to start planning that move, or at the very least, wanting to. Really wanting to.

  3. A greyseh yasher keyach to the Rosh Yeshiva for giving over old-fashioned Torah hashkofoh, and thanks to Matzav for sharing it with a wider עולם.

Halevai we should be zoche to מחזיר עטרה ליושנה in this inyan.

  4. Sorry guest, but moving to Israel won’t solve the galus issue. It isn’t bliss there either. Moshiach now!

  5. There is a difference between nice houses and lots of noise, and Jewish pride. We should always be proud to walk with taaleisim, hachnasas sefer Torah and Lag B’Omer Parades . in my neighborhood the Goyim are always impressed.

  6. ב”ה
    I second that!
    THIS IS KEFIRAH! השם ירחם
    (beside the last minute)

BTW check out the first Rashi on Chumash…

  7. The hatred they have towards us has nothing to do with jealousy, it is as Rashi writes: הלכה בידוע שעשיו שונא ליעקב
