Six years after he was busted for the biggest Ponzi scheme in history, Bernie Madoff’s victims have recovered most of their money. The trustee tasked with recovering funds has now gathered $10.3 billion of the $17.5 billion lost.
The trustee filed the settlement proposal in court on Monday. If approved, people who were direct investors of Madoff’s firm can expect almost 60 cents on the dollar back. All claims of less than $925,000 have been repaid in full. Read more at CNBC.
