During a press conference at Mar-a-Lago on Monday, President-elect Donald Trump was asked if he would consider pardoning New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D).
“I would,” he said. “I think that he was treated pretty unfairly.”
Adams reportedly took bribes from Turkish officials in the form of luxury flight upgrades.
“Now, I haven’t seen the gravity of it all, but it seems like being upgraded on an airplane many years ago,” he said. “I think everybody here has been upgraded.
“When he essentially went against what was happening with the migrants coming in and he made some pretty strong statements … I said, ‘You know, he’ll be indicted soon.’ And a few months later, he got indicted,” Trump told reporters.
“I’d have to see it because I don’t know the facts.”
