The IDF announced that Major Shahar Netanel Bozaglo, 27, of Migdal Haemek, who served as a company commander in the Armored Corps’ 77th Battalion of the 7th Brigade, was killed while fighting in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
Major Bozaglo, part of the 77th Battalion’s combat team, was engaged in operations on Monday morning in the southern sector of Gaza City. He was working under the Golani Brigade alongside the 36th Company’s forces when terrorists staged an ambush. An RPG was fired at the tank he was operating with, leaving him gravely injured. Despite being rushed to Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva, he did not survive his wounds.
According to the army’s figures, since the start of the war, 911 soldiers have been killed, including 465 who have fallen since ground operations began inside the Gaza Strip.
