Morris Kern died childless in 1947 after immigrating to the United States, and was interred in Philadelphia’s non-Jewish Mt. Peace cemetery.

A concerned great-niece was never able to track down his burial place. But with help of ancestry.com, her grandson located the grave and enlisted the Chesed Shel Emes organization to provide Kern with a Jewish kever.

After getting legal clearance to move the remains, Chesed Shel Emes brought Kern to his final rest in a beis kevaros in Floral Park, New Jersey.
