A Virginia man was arrested outside the White House on Monday evening after breaching a security perimeter and striking a Secret Service officer, according to court documents.
After being taken into custody, 29-year-old Christopher Henry Alexander Davis of Herdon claimed that he had an appointment with President Donald Trump to discuss the border wall and the Green New Deal, an affidavit filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia shows, The Washington Post reported.
Davis argued that he did not intend to cause the president any harm and wanted to help him “bring peace to the world,” according to the affidavit.
