Chazal (Brachos 7b) say that a person’s name can effect changes in their life.

Perhaps that is why Siman Tov, a man often seen collecting donations at Bnei Brak’s Izkowitz Shul, won $140,000 after buying a $14 Mifal Hapayas lottery ticket.

With tears in his eyes, he told the proprietor of the Pinukim store where he bought the ticket that he usually goes there to buy cholent and kugel and that the winning ticket was the first he ever bought in his life.
