US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to arrive in Yerushalayim on Sunday, where he will join Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu for a visit to the Kosel, according to journalist Barak Ravid.
Rubio confirmed the trip in a post from the airport, using social media to announce his departure.
“My focus will be on securing the return of the hostages, finding ways to make sure humanitarian aid reaches civilians, and addressing the threat posed by Hamas,” he wrote.
“Hamas cannot continue to exist if peace in the region is the goal,” he added.
