Mark Cuban Says He’s Open To Being VP For Either Donald Trump Or Hillary Clinton

Imagine: Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban one heartbeat away from the presidency.

The billionaire who also happens to have a reality show says he would listen if either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, the presumptive nominees, approached him.

“Absolutely,” Cuban replied when Chuck Todd asked him about running with Clinton on Sunday’s “Meet the Press.” “But the key would be she’d have to go more to the center. I like the fact that Senator Clinton has thought-out proposals. That’s a good thing because at least we get to see exactly where she stands. But I think that Senator [Bernie] Sanders has dragged her too far to the left.”

Clinton’s response? “I think we should look widely and broadly. It’s not just people in elected office. It is successful businesspeople,” Clinton told Todd. “I am very interested in that and I appreciate his openness to it.”

Cuban, who described himself as “fiercely independent,” called Trump a friend and said he would listen to him, too, about being on his ticket. However, he wants to press him for his position on specific issues.

“If he asked me, I’d be like, ‘Okay, Donald. That’s great. Let’s talk about it. But we’re both going to have to dig in and really look and understand the issues so we can come up with solutions.’ ”

A week ago, Cuban told The Washington Post that a group of conservative politicians had asked him to run as a third-party candidate.

“I don’t see it happening,” Cuban wrote in an email.

  1. Very interesting. Does Mark Cuban consider Hillary Clinton’s and Donald Trump’s positions so close that he would support either as VP? It’s funny in a way that so many people cheer for the Republicans or Democrats as if they were sports teams rather than performing a “blind taste test” on the nominee’s policies.

  2. You see, this is why I follow politics. So bracing to see all the people who are going in this l’shem Shamayim.
And maybe this way Trump won’t have to sell his building, even if it means selling out on his choosing a veep who has legislative experience.

  3. When the wise guy never cares if he is a dem or a gop for the election just to get the ticket loving aim of VP, just shake your major human mood of affluent humor. The sadness is that Cuban is just a pull-through for hope. If he ever got on any ticket, who would care anyhow? The pace and public inquiry would be more than his penny in his teeth happy with privilege. Just a curiousity.. Who would be Mark Cuban’s VP if he ran? We can expect more zany entertainment? Maybe Donald Trump can be Mark Cuban’s shoe boy. I think Trump would go well shining shoes with the hands that tried to laugh at any public sphere of human intellect from New York to Rhode Island.

The game is too much gashmius for Trump. The seat belts in his plane are solid gold fasteners!!!!!!! Could he spend any more to save his back side from slipping? Its that queer.

    Sad but shalom.

    G-d bless America.
