Masmid Govoha has entered its 15th year, with more than 2,600 registered 6th and 7th grade masmidim, participating from 22 cities, 39 yeshivos and 130 classes. In the first week alone, more than 1,800 masmidim learned over a half-a-million minutes after school.
Praised by rabbeim and mechanchim as the most unique learning program available, it is the only learning curriculum where every child can be a winner. Masmid Govoha believes that a boy of any age can and should be motivated to put in greater effort towards their learning. The goal of the program is to motivate these masmidim to review material they’ve learned in yeshiva and raise their overall chashivus haTorah. A masmid gets rewarded for after-school learning and chazarah with prizes, cash for his class, regularly scheduled ‘extra’ incentives, parties, a banquet, and honorable mention in Masmid Govoha’s full page in Yated Ne’eman, and in their very own Kol Hamasmid magazine. Approximately 80% of the masmidim who participate increase their nighttime learning by an average of 15 minutes a night.
The Kol Hamasmid is published weekly and is full of divrei Torah, stories, challenges and a list of the top masmidim.
