Massive Dinner in Mexico to Highlight Historic Torah Renaissance in North America

The word “historic” is often thrown around loosely, but sometimes an event takes place that is truly deserving of the moniker “historical event”, and the upcoming dinner of Mosdos Derech Emes is truly one such event hat, on many levels, will be remembered in the annals of history.

The event will be celebrating the opening of a new girls High School, a new boys Yeshiva Ketana,   as well as a new Ashkenazic Kollel in Mexico, named after the Gadol Hador, Maran Rav Ahron Leib Steinman Zatzal, that will give a boost to the entire Jewish community in Mexico, which includes many Sephardic and Ashkenazic families from many backgrounds. Though Mexico’s Jews have been predominantly Sephardic over the millennia, a large and significant segment of the population is now comprised of families from Ashkenazic backgrounds, and they include many Talmidei Chachamim and Bnei Torah who are poised to be at the helm of nothing less than a Torah revolution that will spread throughout the country.

This new initiative, to expand and bolster the Ashenazic Bnei Torah, which also has the support and encouragement of their Sephardic brethren and Rabbanim of Mexico,  was started a mere 7 years ago upon the visit of Rav Steinman Zatzal to be Mechazek the Yidden of Mexico, and has been picking up steam steadily  ever since that momentous visit. Rav Steinman literally breathed new life into the Kehila and its renaissance is a worthy part of his eternal legacy.

Approximately 100 distinguished Rabbanim, from around the world, will be gracing the huge dais at the event, representing Torah communities around the globe coming together to support the mission of Mosdos Derech Emes and proclaim their involvement in its growth for all to see.

This event is a celebration of the past as well as a declaration of a strong future of Torah and Yiddishkeit in Mexico in a strong and flourishing way. This initiative is a declaration of Achdus, unity, from across the entire spectrum of Mexico, as well as the entire South America and beyond, that Mexico can and will once again be a country that reverberates with the sounds of Torah and the echoes of Mitzvos and Yiddishkeit without compromise.

Some of the Rabbanim that will grace the event with their presence include (in no specific order) Harav Avraham Shebut, Rosh Mosdos Keter Torah; Harav Dovid Schweke, Rosh Mosdos Aram Tovah; Harav Shlomo Tawil, Rav of Kehilas Magen David; Harav Avraham Tobal, Rav of Kehilas Mt. Sinai; Harav Moshe Zikorel, Rav of Kehilat Sephardim; Harav Yehoshua Eichenstein, Rosh Yeshivas Yad Ahron; Harav Dovid Lau, Chief Rabbi of Israel; Harav Shmuel Kamenetsky, Rosh Yeshiva of Philadelphia , member of Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah of America and the Nasi of Mosdos Derech Emes; Harav Ahron Feldman, Rosh Yeshiva Ner Yisroel of Baltimore; Harav Moshe Yehuda Schlesinger, Rosh Yeshivas Kol Torah in Eretz Yisroel; Harav Eliyahu Valt, Chief Rabbi of Brazil; Harav Yekutiel Abuchetzeira, Harav Betzalel Toledano, Rosh Yeshivas Zohar HaTorah; Harav Yosef Jebroni, Rosh Yeshivas Chevron; Harav Yisroel Meir Weiss, Rosh Yeshivas Nachlas Haleviim; Harav Eliezer Yehuda Finkel, Rosh Yeshivas Mir Yerushalaim; Harav David Ozeri, Rosh Mosdos Kehilos Torah Center of Flatbush; Harav Chaim Schabes , as well as the Va’ad Hachinuch of Mosdos Derech Emes, Harav  Yehoshua Gertzulin, of Yeshivas Lev Eliyahu; Harav Grylack and Harav Bringuer, just to name some of the esteemed Rabbanim  that are making the trip, from far and wide, to be a part of this historic occasion.

The Chairman at the event will be the renowned philanthropist, supporter of Torah and Chesed around the world, the indefatigable R’ Shloime Yehuda Rechnitz. Also in attendance, as guest of honor, will be Mr. Ezra Irani, who is participating upon the personal request of Harav Shmuel Kamenetsky and Harav Yosef Harari-Raful, who hold Mr. Irani in very high esteem, due to his staunch support of all Mosdos Hatorah V’Hachesed, regardless sif they are Ashenazic or Sephardic. Some of the other philanthropists that will grace the event include Mr. Jaxob Cojab, Mr. Rafael Zaga, Mr. Ezra Attias, Rabbi Arthur Kaner, Mr. Moses Shemaria and Mr. Jacob Shemaria, who are all supporters of  Torah causes in general, and of the mission of Derech Emes in particular.

The assembling of so many Rabbanim, Askanim, the Lomdei and Tomchei Torah of our generation, in one venue to support one cause is sure to be something spectacular that will not only ensure the growth of Mosdos Derech Emes, but will also ensure the rapid growth of all Torah institutions in the country.

All who partake in this event, physically or financially, are considered partners in the growth of Torah in North America. All who support this momentous initiative, which will place Mexico alongside New York, Yerushalayim, Cleveland, Chicago , Los Angeles, and other bastions of Yiddishkeit, are sure to see blessings in their own lives, as the Torah promises blessings to all who build Torah.

This dinner is going to highlight the infrastructure of Yiddishkeit in Mexico – including Kollelim, schools, mikvaos – that are all getting a much needed boost of energy  directly from the  Bnei Torah that are involved in Mosdos Derech Emes, as instructed by Rav Ahron Leib Steinman Zatzal.

The entire community in Mexico is looking forward with great anticipation to this dinner, and they feel a personal gratitude to all who participate in this event which will enhance the spiritual level of their everyday lives in so many tangible ways.

Maran Rav Ahron leib Steinman Zatzal is no longer with us physically, but his impact on the world of Yiddishkeit will forever be with us, as is evidenced by the revolution taking place in Mexico. Arguably, his impact on the Torah world is only now beginning to be truly felt, as many of his initiatives, such as Mosdos Derech Emes, are only now beginning to bear fruit in a way that will forever transform cities, countries and the world itself.

Indeed, the upcoming dinner of Mosdos Derech Emes, will be nothing short of historic in every way.
