pisgat ze'evThe 13-year-old Israeli boy, Yosef Chaim Gidon, who was stabbed today by two Palestinian teenage thugs as he rode his bike in the northern Yerushalayim neighborhood of Pisgat Ze’ev is a former Mifal Torah Vodaas talmid.

He is in critical condition.

Matzav.com spoke to one of the leaders of Mifal Torah Vodaas, who told us that Mifal enrolled Yosef Chaim into yeshiva this year and was said to be doing well in his studies.

Mifal’s menahel, Rabbi Yakov Hager, asked Matzav.com to relay his request that all Mifal supporters in America and throughout the world daven for Yosef Chaim’s full recovery. His name is Yosef Chaim ben Zehava.

Mifal has closed its classes in Pisgat Ze’ev for this week, Rabbi Hager told Matzav. Rav Yitzchok Scheiner, Kamenitzer rosh yeshiva and guiding light of Mifal, is contemplating whether or not to close down all classes until the current wave of terrorist attacks cease.

According to Israeli police, the two Palestinian terrorists who stabbed Yosef Chaim, ages 13 and 15, were cousins from the Beit Chanina neighborhood in eastern Yerushalayim. The older attacker was shot dead by police after fleeing the scene, while the younger assailant was hit by a car and seriously injured.

Yosef Chaim, who suffered multiple stab wounds to the upper body, was brought to Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus, where he underwent emergency surgery. While doctors were able to save his life, as we mentioned, he remains in critical condition.
