Matzav.com is deeply grateful to the many readers who have reached out over the past 24 hours to extend kind words in honor of our new look, launched yesterday. It is thanks to the encouragement and support of dedicated readers across the globe that Matzav has grown over the last decade and continues to lead the field of online frum news reporting.

Our launch yesterday coincided with the opening of Gourmet Glatt’s newest store in Lakewood, NJ, and one of our editors observed how appropriate that was, because Matzav personifies both “gourmet” and “glatt.” Matzav is “gourmet” in the fact that you, our readers, get the best, the latest and the most comprehensive and penetrating news reporting in the Torah world. And this site is “glatt,” because it has demonstrated that a frum news site can be operated with intelligence, yashrus, ehrlichkeit and respect. We appreciate that our readers recognize that.

We wish to thank our team of writers, editors and contributors for enhancing this site with their talent and creativity.

We are indebted to the devoted team at 1-On-1 Development for their service to Matzav 24 hours a day, every day. The professionalism and expertise of the 1-On-1 Development team are unsurpassed. We are honored to be managed by one of the leading development companies in the field.

The new look at Matzav is just the first of various exciting changes coming to your favorite news site. The additional improvements will be implemented in the near future.

We have received a large number of complaints from readers who cannot access videos via YouTube. Our team is working diligently to address those legitimate concerns. We are proud to have so many readers who are sensitive about the content that can access and have strong filtering on their computers and devices.

A final, important point: We have received, of late, questions and criticism about certain news items, even being accused of “lashon hara” and a lack of ahavas Yisroel. Specifically, we were questioned about breaking the story about a lecturing rabbi who made controversial remarks about the Holocaust and also about our ongoing campaign to expose the havoc being wreaked by Open Orthodoxy proponents and others like them, as we have been for many years.

Such news stories are reported here following rabbinic guidance. We were encouraged to report the damaging remarks made vis-à-vis the Holocaust and were clearly advised that claims of “lashon hara” are unfounded and plainly ignorant. Likewise, when exposing those who seek to alter the mesorah and make damaging changes to the fabric of Yiddishkeit, it is our duty to make our voices heard.

Again, we thank you all for your patronage, for your words of kindness, and, above all, for holding us accountable to the high standard we have set.

Looking forward to many more years of reporting positive news and simchos across the global Torah community.

The Matzav.com Team

  1. Kol HaKavod. It is much easier to read now . I like the more subdued colors and I hope to continue enjoying your news site. I appreciate that you cover so many diverse topics with careful thought and, living in Israel I always turn to your site to see what is happening on the other side of the pond. Keep up the good work

  2. And this site is “glatt,” because it has demonstrated that a frum news site can be operated with intelligence, yashrus, ehrlichkeit and respect. We appreciate that our readers recognize that.

*Again we would recognize that even more if the videos weren’t You Tubed!!*

  3. You would be more glatt if your videos would not be in youtube format. ppl with filters can not watch them.
Do it like you used to.

  4. The redesigned site looks great, however I’ve tried using the site without a adblocker, and it was extremely annoying, the ads are so numerous and squashed into every corner, especially the Oorah pop up ad on the bottom of the page.

  5. Nice new site- matzav.com is a cut above

however, Anonymous “Rabbinic guidance” is meaningless, please name some of the “Rabbis” who “guide” you.

Please explain how it is “erlich” to post baptist services even for the sake of exposes yct

  6. Gourmet, perhaps. But more “kosher style” than glatt. Say which Rabbanim are behind you or present yourself accurately with the questionable kashrus that you actually have.

  7. Beautiful job. We appreciate your derech eretz and sensitivity to mesorah, kiddush hashem, and ehrlichkeit in your reporting. Love the new format.
