After days of rising frustrations in Brooklyn over the continued closure of neighborhood parks, the Mayor announced today that parks will be set to reopen on Monday.

Videos circulated social media these past few weeks of police officers kicking children out of parks due to fear of infection even as crowded protests were allowed to pass unhindered in other parts of Brooklyn.

In protest of the absurd hypocrisy, Heshy Tishler went around Brooklyn playgrounds with a lockcutter to cut through the chains barring various playgrounds shut.

  1. Confusing headline. We know that “parks” will be open but what about PLAYGROUNDS?
What about Floyd Bennet Field and Governors Island?

  2. Pressure works. Apply pressure to your politicians, or be trampled. Any “quiet diplomacy” by the socialite “court Jews” doesn’t work in 99% of the cases, not in this particular time and place anyway.
