Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe has met with investigators on special counsel Robert Mueller’s team, and has handed over memos documenting interactions with President Trump.
The memos turned over by McCabe reportedly back up Comey’s claims about unusual meetings with Trump in the months before he was fired. In those meetings, Trump reportedly asked Comey for a loyalty pledge and later requested that he drop the FBI’s investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired McCabe on Friday for making an unauthorized disclosure to the press and for misleading congressional investigators.
