The Chief Rabbinate of Israel warns that following the discovery of serious failures, all products marked as manufactured and marketed by the Keter Bosor company from Ma’alot should not be consumed.

Over the past few weeks, there has been an intensive investigation by the rabbonim of the Kashrus Division of the Rabbinate and inspectors regarding serious suspicions of meat products being treif while being sold with various kosher markings.

The suspicions arose thanks to the vigilance of the supervision system of the local rabbinates during which cartons of lamb fat were found not to have been properly trabered and salted.

The rabbonim put a ban on certain meat produced by the Keter Bosor plant in Ma’alot.

Yesterday, the offices of the Kashrus Division of the Rabbanut received a notice from the rov of Ma’alot, Rabbi Meir Sayag regarding the removal of kashrus supervision from the factory. Even meat bearing kashrus symbols must not be used.
