A group is suing Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum and Tulsa Health Department Executive Director Bruce Dart, saying the city’s mask mandate is harmful to healthy people,” reports Activist Post. The group includes business owners and two doctors who “are asking the city to immediately repeal the mask mandate which was passed by city council last month.

At a press conference, optometrist Robert Zoellner said:

“…the fear factor has got to step back. This idea that I don’t want to give you something that I don’t even know that I have is almost at the point of ridiculous. Let’s use some common sense.”

Dr. James Meehan, MD followed by warning that mask wearing has “well-known risks that have been well-studied and they’re not being discussed in the risk analysis.

“I’m seeing patients that have facial rashes, fungal infections, bacterial infections. Reports coming from my colleagues, all over the world, are suggesting that the bacterial pneumonias are on the rise.

“Why might that be? Because untrained members of the public are wearing medical masks, repeatedly… in a non-sterile fashion… They’re becoming contaminated. They’re pulling them off of their car seat, off the rearview mirror, out of their pocket, from their countertop, and they’re reapplying a mask that should be worn fresh and sterile every single time.”

  1. come back when you have a medical organisation. a few doctors can be kooks a consensus is a different animal!

    • It's proof enough to prove that Mark Twain was 100% right with his quote: No amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot

Recently Matzav reported that 85% were hospitalized for wearing a mask constantly and 14% often, isn’t this enough proof that masks are dangerous?

The authorities in Israel couldn’t bring proof to the Belzer Rebbe shlit”a that masks prevent coronavirus, so they allowed thousands of chassidim to join the tefillos on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur without masks and without social distancing.

So can you prove anything different?

  2. Finally some common sense.
Anyone who will breath in the same air breathed out for a long period of time will be breathing in CO2 and bacteria.
This will certainly be harmful for the person.

  3. I agree with the above comment! Why you would even publish something from a single doctor -AND AN OPTOMETRIST – is beyond me. This is contrary to 99.99% of medical opinion. Publishing it only serves to give support to those people who don’t want to wear masks to protect the tzibur.

    • There are those that don’t want to wear a mask because they can’t breath properly with it on. You are restricting how much oxygen you are taking in and rebreathing the carbon dioxide which you just breathed out. Quite simple

  4. Quoting an optometrist (a non medical doctor) for his opinion on a disease he cannot even diagnose or treat is like asking a pastor for advice on kashrus.

  5. Your title is misleading – if you just read the last paragraph in your article and you will realize the title should’ve said “NON STERILE mask wearing”. Huge difference! Don’t spread irresponsible info. We are davening for way too many ppl that are dying on respirators because they caught it because ‘masks are bad for you blah blah’. And I have never known this many people personally who died or are in ICU from Covid in one year, compared to knowing exactly ZERO ppl who had flu and died from it. This has nothing to do with politics but real life people you and I care about in our communities.

  6. I love all those people here complaining that this doctor is an optometrist, while being perfectly OK listening to pediatricians who fan the flames of corona panic-mongering.
Doctors and first responders DO NOT wear masks all the time. They put on fresh masks when they approach a patient. The rest of the time they’re breathing fresh air.
If you wear a mask, you ARE decreasing the amount of oxygen you get, because you decrease the amount of air you inhale. When you wear it all the time, (especially when it’s the same one that you wore the entire week), you are not breathing well, and you create a warm, humid environment that allows bacterial growth.

This is simple, basic science. You don’t need to be a professor or an expert in epidemiology to understand that!

    • Hello, the instructions for using the disposable, one-time usage masks, whether standard surgical of K95, is for a few hours, not days, until you sterilize (or at least wash, the jury is still out) it. By the way, the latest box of pleated surgical masks we bought fit more loosely over the nose so it’s less humid. Additionally, there is a lot of information out there on sewing masks for beards and easy breathing. Look it up. If you personally don’t sew, you must know someone who does, because it’s very simple stuff, with commonly available supplies.

      • I tried all different kinds of masks. I haven’t found one that I’m comfortable with. Most make me gag as soon as I attempt to talk or daven with it on. When I observe others talking/davening and they take a breath in, I gag as well. It might be physicological. It might be something from a past life. I just can’t wear or watch others wear a mask when I/they talk.
