Megyn Kelly to Trump: ‘I Can’t Be Wooed’

trumpIn a lengthy Vanity Fair profile released Monday, Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly revealed that, prior to his presidential announcement, Donald Trump had attempted to curry favor with her—to no avail.

“He would send me press clippings about me that he would just sign ‘Donald Trump.’ And he called from time to time to compliment a segment. I didn’t know why he was doing that,” Kelly said. “And then when he announced that he was running for president, it became more clear. But I can’t be wooed. I was never going to love him, and I was never going to hate him.”

Trump famously began feuding with Kelly after this summer’s first Republican presidential debate, in which the anchor asked the candidate tough questions about his politics and past controversies involving women.

In the Vanity Fair interview, Kelly also revealed that she performed her debate moderator duties while sick—with a vomit bucket by her side, in fact. Read more.
