torah-temimah-lakewood[Photos below.] The Lakewood, NJ, Inspection Department shut down the campus of Mesivta Torah Temimah on Cedar Street, between Pine and Henry Streets, in Lakewood. The young but very successful mesivta is a branch of Yeshiva & Mesivta Torah Temimah of Brooklyn, which is led by its rosh yeshiva, Rav Lipa Margulies.

Matzav.com has been told the issue at hand is not township or code-related and that the matter will be resolved.

The closure comes just over a month after another Lakewood yeshiva, Mercaz Hatorah, was closed down.

Mesivta Torah Temimah of Lakewood is now in its fourth year. The campus of the yeshiva is comprised of a home and an adjacent trailer on Cedar Street.

The menahel of Mesivta Torah Temimah of Lakewood is Rav Moshe Shimon Luria, who is also rov of Khal Ohr Yechezkel in Lakewood. The ninth grade rebbi is Rav Gavriel Rokowsky, the tenth grade rebbi is Rav Yosef Gartenhaus, and the eleventh grade rebbi is Rav Shmuel Dov Jacobs.

The yeshiva is run by its Executive Director, Rabbi Yaakov Applegrad.

  1. Lakewood’s Inspection department closed up illegaly Rabbi dickstein’s yeshiva on Erev Yom Kippur. They said it was overcrowded, they had no court order-They could have told the 2-3 extra boys to leave instead of closing the whole yeshiva on Erev Yom Kippur. The askonim said “Don’t do anything”.

The Lakewood Police raided Ohr Chodosh yeshiva in the middle of the night, they came with shotguns a frightened the Bochurim “The Askonim said don’t do anything”. I hear that One smart parent sued & got over a million dollars.

Is our problem The “chanifa” on the cheshbon of the Tzibur.
