MH370 Families May Sue in U.S.

malaysia1Lawyers have reportedly descended upon a Beijing hotel where the families of many of the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 passengers are staying. Many of them have promised they will file lawsuits for families in the U.S. to lure them into signing on with them.

But any lawsuit will likely just be tossed out. America is known globally as “the land of liability opportunity,” said Steve Dedmon, an aviation-law expert at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

While lawyers argue they can make a claim that U.S. manufacturer Boeing could be liable, it’s a stretch.

“This is not the right point in time to discuss legal matters because nothing has been found yet and everybody has no idea what exactly happened to the plane,” said Steve Wang, a representative of some of the Chinese relatives. Read more.

  1. I lost my coat in Shul over Yom Tov. I will be filing a lawsuit against London Fog since they were the manufacturer!
