The Inbal Jerusalem Hotel yesterday hosted a press conference with former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee as he praised Israel as a “special friend to the U.S.”
Huckabee brought a delegation of 250 to Israel to promote the U.S.-Israel relationship and encourage tourism. He said that Israel was “a vital ally to the U.S. in its fight against terror.”
“One of the most important things Americans can do is come visit their friends and we don’t have a better friend in the world than Israel. For 42 years, I’ve been coming and trying to bring as many new friends as I can to Israel and help them to understand how important this country is not just to the Middle East, but how important it is to America,” said Huckabee. “I’ve never had someone come on this trip and go back home and say ‘wow that was a real waste of time.’ Every person left with an extraordinary and overwhelming sense of connection to the land and to the people of Israel”
