Today, the 14th of Iyar is Pesach Sheni. According to many opinions one does not fast on this day, make Hespedim, or a Hakomas Matzeivah. (Piskei Tshuvos 492:1)

There are different minhagim regarding the saying of Tachnun (El Erech Apayim), and Lamenatzeach on Pesach Sheni (as the Shulchan Aruch does not mention to omit these tefillos). Many have the minhag to eat Matzah on Pesach Sheni by day, zecher L’korbon Pesach. (Piskei Tshuvos 492:1, see also Shaarei Tshuva @ SA 131:19)

  1. The Bnei Yissochar says that one should eat matzah on Motzei Pesach Sheini (14th Iyar) (not on Pesach Sheini itself) because it was only on the 15th of Nissan that one ate matzah (with the korban pesach) in the time of the Beis HaMikdash. I have yahrzeit for my father, zichrono l’vracha, today on Pesach Sheini. Being that nobody in shul will wash for matzah, I bought matza (100% whole wheat) crackers. Counter-intuitively, the beracha for them is mezonos (it’s actually written on the box) because it doesn’t have the tzura of bread even though the ony ingredients are flour and water. (BTW, Sephardim don’t have have this problem as they make mezonos on matzah all year round, except on Pesach!
