Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday evening ordered cabinet ministers to convene immediately to declare areas with high rates of COVID-19 infections “restricted areas,” his office said in a statement.
The Prime Minister’s Office did not specify which areas will be put on lockdown, but Channel 12 news reported that up to nine cities and towns, in whole or in part, could be closed off: Yerushalayim, Bnei Brak, Ashdod, Modi’in Illit, Ramla, Beit Shemesh, Kiryat Malachi, Lod and Ra’anana.
The channel said the restrictions could differ per city, ranging from the bolstering of enforcement to a complete lockdown.

What is 1,289 cases in a country of about 9,000,000 people? For this they have to lockdown 9 chareidi cities who are the most heedful in mask wearing and social distancing? Does this mean they’ll wipe out all coronavirus symptoms from these cities once and for all and nobody will ever become sick again? Will this also prevent the malach hamovess from entering these cities?
This whole mass lockdown business seems like the knee-jerk reactions of a dictator. Sadly, this seems to be the regular mindset of Israeli politicians. If only they could control everything more the better things will be etc. There doesn’t seem to be any concept of individual freedom. You don’t even see anti-lockdown protests over there.
True they spread the flu from their labs and people got sick, but Coronavirus is a term used to arrest elite criminals. Probably over 2 million were already arrested worldwide. 1289 likely more arrested in Israel this week. Lockdowns are for those corona criminals not to be able to escape. This is what the Shin Bet needs the advanced technology to track the criminals. Which is why the liberal pro-criminal Supreme Court of Injustice is so against it. You have to be an idiot to believe that the Shin Bet would use it to track people with fever.
Masks are only to make the so-called sickness more alarming.
