There was much excitement in the air as the Talmidim of the Mir Yerushalayim prepared for the siyum l’ilui nishmas Maran Harav Shteinman zt”l. Driven by the example of the Rosh Hayeshiva, Harav Eliezer Yehuda Finkel Shlita, the talmidim joined together to be מסיים ש”ס בבלי twenty-six times.
The siyum was attended by the Hanhallah, Rebbeim, Roshei Chabura and talmidei Hayeshiva. Joining them were Harav Shteinman’s zt”l son and Harav Dov Landau, Rosh Yeshivas Slabodka, as well as Rav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi, Rosh Yeshiva in Ateres Yisroel and Rav Avraham Barzel. They all shared divrei chizuk turning it into an electrifying and uplifting event. כאיש אחד בלב אחד, the tzibur burst out in song and dance as they rejoiced with great simcha and אהבת התורה. The Rosh Hayeshiva, Harav Eliezer Yehuda Finkel Shlita spoke from his heart, transmitting the pride and joy he felt for this milestone.
Building on this energy, the talmidim have started the next cycle of ש”ס for the next yartzeit of Harav Nosson Tzvi Finkel zt”l. It is our hope that the light continue to shine and grow stronger as the Talmidei Hayeshiva achieve even more.
