ttms1A wall in the building of the Meah Shearim Talmud Torah collapsed this morning and miraculously no one was injured. The wall was in the otzar haseforim of the cheder and thankfully no one was in the room at the time of the collapse. All the children of the cheder were evacuated while the structure was being inspected. The children were settled in a nearby shul. The Yerushalayim Municipality cordoned off the area and closed the building until it can be determined exactly what happened. There is fear that the very foundation of the building could be weak, making the entire structure a safety hazard. The collapse took place shortly after 11 a.m. in Yerushalayim.

Mayor Nir Barkat was apprised of the situation and came down to Meah Shearim to see for himself what transpired.
