rav-nosson-tzvi-finkel[Letter below.] Rav Nosson Tzvi Finkel shlit”a, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Mir-Yerushalayim, has written in a note to all the talmidim of his yeshiva telling them not to attend the hafganos taking place in Yerushalayim. The statement of the rosh yeshiva, which was penned yesterday, is as follows:

23 Tammuz 5769

Lechol bnei hayeshiva, ain lehimotzei klal bechol asar hahafganos, lelo yotzeh min haklal velelo shum

horaas heter.

Nosson Tzvi Finkel

Translation:

To all the bnei hayeshiva,

No one is to be found in any of the locations of the protests, without any exception or leniency.

Nosson Tzvi Finkel

As we reported earlier today, the  Raavad of the Eidah Hachareidis, Rav Moshe Shternbuch shlit”a, has said that the rioting is wrong and he has condemned the demonstrators as being “mushugoyim.

The letter from Rav Finkel that was posted in the Mirrer Yeshiva can be seen here:

  1. Dear Moshe 2,
The Mirrer Rosh Hayeshiva does not need your Haskamah, nor do any of our Gedolim. The Eida Hacharedis that represents other Yidden and other Morei Horaah may argue as well, without your commenting or disageeing.

  2. The Rosh Yeshiva is a Godol Hador. His legendary Mesiras Nefesh is beyond comprehension. His entire life is dedicated to the Klal.
May the Rebono Shell Olam bless us that the Rosh Yeshiva should have arichas yomim.

  3. I personally dont see anything in the letter of the Rosh Yeshiva.
The Eida also wrote last week by the Shabbos Protests that Bucherim shouldnt attend.

Lets not forget! the Eida Hachreidis is headed by Gedolei Yisroel who btw just signed a Kol Koreh urging everyone to attend the Protest.

JUST WAIT FOR RACHEL R.’s Anti Hareidy Comments.

  4. “I personally dont see anything in the letter of the Rosh Yeshiva”

The rosh Yeshiva wasn’t writing for you to “see anything”, he was writing to his Talmidim- he did not ask for it to be published on the internet so that every person can write his opinion

  5. The Rosh Yeshiva is a Tzadik Gomur. BTW he couldn’t care less what you filthy ignorant mouthbreathing critics think.

  6. I don’t understand why people are bashing others who are glad to see a public statement from gedolim of stature. Of COURSE the rosh yeshiva doesn’t need our haskama, but we, the hamon am are relieved and heartened by the kiddush Hashem such statements make.

  7. Note in the ROSH YESHIVA’s writing, NOT to go to any demonstrations without exceptions (including for Shabbos).

  8. All this is happening because the Bnei Torah didn’t listen to Rav Shturnbuch SHLITA when he said you MUST go out and protest the “Toeiva Pride Parade”!!! They thought they knew better, R”L! Yesh Din Viyesh Dayin!!!

  9. 11, that was a point I saw somewhere else: it’s in the rosh yeshiva’s shlita handwriting. I would assume that every word takes serious effort and was weighed and measured. That he went to such efforts shows how important this is.

  10. Dear Jack:

For your information, I happen to be hareidi. That’s precisely why I don’t like seeing other hareidim doing bizarre stuff like throwing rocks at policemen. L’mashal, the Chachamim say that it is forbidden even to lift the hand to strike another person. So what about throwing a rock that could blind or maim someone else, and that someone else is a fellow Jew?

    How about avoidng Hillul HaShem?

Try reading the Parsha with Meforshim every week. You could find some eye-opening concepts -which you wouldn’t find on a wall poster in Mea Shearim.
