Mitt Romney Voting for Ted Cruz in Utah

Mitt Romney announced Friday that he will vote for Ted Cruz in next Tuesday’s Utah presidential caucuses, and he encouraged conservatives to vote for the Texan senator in all future contests.

While explicitly not endorsing Cruz, Romney wrote that “there is a contest between Trumpism and Republicanism,” and that “The only path that remains to nominate a Republican rather than Mr. Trump is to have an open convention.

At this stage, the only way we can reach an open convention is for Senator Cruz to be successful in as many of the remaining nominating elections as possible.” Romney added that he likes third remaining candidate John Kasich, but “a vote for Governor Kasich in future contests makes it extremely likely that Trumpism would prevail.” Ultimately, Mitt said, an open convention should be all anti-Trump voters’ ultimate goal. Read more at Facebook.

  1. I wouldn’t be that proud, remember when he was running for president he went into a comatose state and never woke up until the elections were over. I don’t think I would want him to indorse me at anytime he lost the election and now he stands loud and clear, to bad he wasn’t loud and clear when he ran.
