MK Faints During Battle With Cops After Planning All-Nighter in Shimon Hatzaddik Neighborhood

MK Itamar Ben Gvir fainted during a clash with Israeli police officers Sunday night, after vowing to stay in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah – known as Shimon Hatzaddik – through the night, Times of Israel reports.

Ben Gvir, a member of the Religious Zionism party, set up a makeshift office following the firebombing of a Jewish home in the neighborhood. Police tried to dismantle the makeshift office and Ben Gvir fainted during a scuffle with officers. He was taken by medics to Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center.
