For the past several years, Yitzchak Pindrus has served as a Member of Knesset from Degel HaTorah, a faction in Yahadut HaTorah. Pindrus has been noted as a forceful advocate for the rights of English-speaking olim in Israel. He has championed the needs of Olim, whether it be in education, benefits or obtaining government services. He has assisted this burgeoning community in countless ways, and has strongly supported the work of organizations serving English speakers such as Nefesh B’Nefesh, Chaim V’Chessed and the Igud of Yeshivos for Bnei Chul.

Besides his work on behalf of English-speakers, Pindrus has been a forceful opponent of the current Israeli government, which has done much to damage the Jewish nature of the State of Israel. He has offered strong opposition to government attacks on kashurus, giyur and Shabbos. He has also stood up to the current government’s incessant slashing of funding to religious institutions.

Now, Pindrus has released a unique call to English speakers in Israel. Writing as a member of the community – his parents made aliya from Ohio – he points to the challenges and accomplishments of the current political era. In the missive, Pindrus bemoans the attacks on the Torah community, and the note the various decrees which the current government has made. He calls on the entire English-speaking community to rally to the support of Yahadut HaTorah.

  1. How soon after election will Israel be making lockdowns again? And what about the new “virus”? And mandatory bio-weapons?
