Last night, MK Yitzchok Pindrus, a member of the Yahadut Hatorah party, voiced significant concerns about the current security situation in Israel.

“We are in a situation that is unprecedented in its severity,” Pindrus said during an interview with Kol Chai Radio.

He went on to describe the situation as “the most difficult war we have known since the founding of the State.”

Pindrus also elaborated on his party’s decision to refrain from joining a coalition with the Left. “The instruction from the gedolim is clear: not to cooperate with the Left, especially in light of the concern [that it will] influence children’s education,” he stated.

He further expressed unease over the potential changes to the education system, explaining that “The content which they would like to integrate into the educational system raises great concern.”

Regarding the ongoing debate about the Draft Law, Pindrus clarified that the party’s position on the chareidi draft issue is not connected to its stance on the negotiations with Hamas.

“Our support for a deal stems only from the position of the gedolim on the matter of redeeming captives. We have not set any conditions,” he emphasized.

As for the legislative process, Pindrus explained that the final version of the draft law will be submitted to the gedolim for approval.

“The discussions in the Committee are held on the professional level, despite attempts by various sources to turn them into a media show,” he concluded.
