MLB Adds Rules to Speed Up Games

In an effort to make nine innings go faster, Major League Baseball announced pace-of-play rule changes for the 2015 season on Friday. Managers must now stay in the dugout during replay challenges; hitters must keep at least one foot in the batter’s box while at-bat; players must return to play quicker after commercial breaks.

“These changes represent a step forward in our efforts to streamline the pace of play,” Commissioner Rob Manfred said. Read more at ESPN.

    I hate to sound like a broken record, but Reggie Jackson was so overrated. The fact that he is in the Hall of Fame is an outrage. It does a disservice to those who truly belong there.

  3. The lesson is, we have to chop araiyn and not waste time. Life is short. Lets learn as much Torah and kiyum haMitzvos as possible.

  4. Wow! It took until comments 10, 11, and 12 for the usual hypocritical comments by internet users about the inappropriateness of items on Matzav. Baseball is far less problematic than internet use.
