Moishy Kleinerman, the 17-year-old boy who went missing last year, has been missing for 479 days, which amounts to one year and four months.
On March 25, 2022, he informed his parents that he was going to Meron, and the following day was the last time he was captured on security cameras in that area. Despite the collective efforts of concerned citizens who rallied to assist in the search, Moishy remains unaccounted for. Nevertheless, his mother, Giti Kleinerman, clings to hope.
In an interview with Ynet on Monday, Giti Kleinerman shared her family’s ongoing quest for answers. She stated, “We remain informed about all updates and maintain constant contact with the police. We tirelessly explore new leads from every possible angle, hoping to uncover any clue that may shed light on what transpired there.” Frustrated by the lack of news, she expressed her longing for her son’s safe return, emphasizing that the police possess ample resources, capabilities, and responsibility to conduct a thorough investigation.
Mrs. Kleinerman conveyed that the family recently engaged in discussions with senior police officials, describing them as attentive. She acknowledged the police’s significant efforts, but also expressed her belief that more could be done to find Moishy. Driven by her conviction that her son is alive and somewhere awaiting discovery, she implored authorities to prioritize the search and ensure that they comprehend the urgency of the situation.
She lamented the anguish of having a loved one vanish and be treated as a mere object, emphasizing her unwavering belief that Moishy is alive. She asserted her faith that one day the mystery will be unraveled, bringing closure to their ordeal.
Moishy, a resident of Modi’in Illit, embarked on a Shabbos excursion to Mount Meron in March 2022. He had expressed to friends his intention to seek solitude during his visit, and no contact has been established since then. The police, in their relentless pursuit to locate him, established a dedicated team comprising hundreds of officers and volunteers who have diligently searched for him over several months. Although suspects were arrested in connection with the case, they were subsequently released. Israel Police Commissioner Yaakov Shabtai affirmed their unwavering commitment to uncovering the truth behind Moishy’s disappearance, vowing to persist until the circumstances surrounding his vanishing are fully understood.
