swastika1[Update below.] At approximately 12:30 this morning, Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) was awakened by concerned neighbors who called to tell him that more anti-Semitic graffiti had been found down the block from his home on East 5th Street between Avenue L and the Dead End in Midwood, Brooklyn. A large black swastika had been painted along with two smaller black swastikas on a private driveway with the hate message, “Die Jews.” Across the street, two swastikas were also painted on the door of an apartment building at 1293 East 5th Street.

Hikind rushed from his home, where he found a crowd of concerned people gathered on the street despite the late hour. Hikind noted that the general sentiment expressed by community residents was, “Here we go again. When will these attacks stop?”

Hikind said, “Can you imagine coming home and seeing swastikas painted on your property? This is just the latest in a series of ongoing anti-Semitic occurrences in Brooklyn and throughout New York City, and people are justifiably very concerned and upset. Almost every day, there seems to be another incident reported. The police have hardly made an arrest in any of these cases. I am calling on the NYPD to use every resource available to apprehend the person(s) responsible for these heinous acts so that people in the community can once again have peace of mind.”

Update: NYPD has identified two more large swastikas scrawled on the Yeshiva of Brooklyn building located on Ocean Parkway and Avenue L.

  1. “Here we go again. When will these attacks stop”?

BEFORE HASHEM NEEDS TO MAKE THINGS WORSE C”V

WHAT ARE YOU YES YOU WAITING FOR? don’t wait make aliya now & be guarenteed success straight from Hashem

  2. THIS IS THE RESULT OF TOLERANCE TO THE INTOLERANT. WHEN WILL JEWS STAND STRONG?
YOU CANT HIDE… YOU TRIED IT ONCE BY CHANGING YOUR NAMES… THEY FOUND YOU…. ITS TIME TO FIGHT BACK..POLITICALLY, SPIRITUALLY VERBALLY…ITS TIME TO STAND WITH AGAIN AS A WARRIOR FOR HASHEM FOR ISRAEL ‘HIS’ FAVORITE…BY SPEAKING UP AND OUT, THEIR ALREADY COMING FOR YOU…. WHEN WILL YOU FIGHT?

  3. “The police have hardly made an arrest in any of these cases”

Exactly! Police commisioner Ray “cover up” Kelly doesn’t care about the Frum community! He is busy covering up for his highness, Mike “tickets” Bl$$mberg! Shame on Bl$$mberg & Kelly!

  4. If people use HOLOCAUST imagery for their needs it has become hefker in the eyes of Non Jews.

Why doesnt anyone ever think of the consequences of their actions?

  5. We just dont command the fear or dominance in our own neighborhoods the way others do such as in, say Sheepshead Bay or other Italian-dominated areas.
When people see a group of Jews on the street, they dont think twice of walking right through the crowd. What would anyone be afraid of? That “oh no, those guys are gonna balance my books”?
We need to be vigiliant this time around or like the average turtle jew says, pack your bags and keep running.
I really do like EY, but it is not home right now any more than USA is right now. It will be home when Moshiach comes.
For now, we all better wake up and learn to defend our communities.

  6. MIDDLESEX COUNTY — For the second time in as many years, the Middlesex County Parks Department will sandblast two swastikas off the Route 18 bridge that crosses over Johnson Park on the border of Piscataway and New Brunswick.

Once again, the swastikas were discovered by a neighbor of Rabbi Dr. Bernhard Rosenberg of Congregation Beth-El in Edison. They have been there for a month, Rosenberg said.
“The swastika is a symbol of hatred,” said Rosenberg, a sought-after Holocaust educator whose parents survived the Nazi genocide. “We need to be vigilant and report swastikas or any other symbol of hatred immediately to the police. Whoever is responsible should check it because it seems to be a recurring event.”
The Parks Department once again will volunteer to sandblast the swastikas off the state property within the next couple of days, Parks Director Ralph Albanir said.
Albanir said he also will write a letter to the state Department of Transportation requesting that it take appropriate action.
“I’m not sure how to prevent this,” Albanir said. “You wonder how people access these highways and bridges to do the graffiti. I find it very disturbing and don’t want to see it in any of our parks.
