In the second terror attack in Israel today, an 18-year-old Palestinian stabbed a 67-year-old man, moderately wounding him, in an apparent terrorist attack in Yaffo.
The Palestinian stabbed the Jew – who was walking with his wife – several times and fled the scene.
Police converged on the scene and began searching for the attacker. The suspect — from the West Bank city of Jenin — was later detained nearby the place of the attack. According to Yediot Achronot, police initially suspected that the attack might have been a failed robbery attempt since none of the couple’s belongings were taken but the suspect’s investigation reinforced the assessment that this was a terrorist attack on a nationalist background.
The victim was taken to Wolfson Medical center in moderate and stable condition.
