TRAGEDY IN TEL AVIV: ZAKA Recovers Body of Yungerman Who Drowned at Beach

It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petira of R’ Yehoshua Ben Paz, a yungerman who was pulled out of the waters in Tel Aviv last night.

ZAKA divers were called to the beach last night after a man entered the waters with a friend and disappeared into the surf. ZAKA was later able to recover the body of R’ Yehoshua Ben Paz, a 24-year-old yungerman from the Givat Shaul neighborhood of Yerushalayim.

The Levaya of R’ Yehoshua Ben-Paz who drowned in the Tel Aviv beach last night, will leave from his parents’ home at the Assam complex in Bnei Brak at 3:00 PM, and will continue front there to Yerushalayim, where he will be buried on Har Hamenuchos.

R’ Ben-Paz leaves behind a wife and two young children.

  1. His brother in law said they were only gonna go in till knee deep and suddenly they got caught into a rip current; he screamed that hes being pulled in and nebach wasnt seen again. This avreich is described as “יקיר שביקירים”” very very chashuv person. May hashem have rachmanus on his children and bring the geula quick…

    Everything was nigzar on last Rosh Hashana. Very frightening reality. Let’s hope all tzaros for Kllal Yisroel will end.
